Wait, wasn't Trump asked to return the materials? If they're nothing important why not return them? I haven't been following this story as close as some.

Good ol' Mike Turner. Another (formerly) sensible national security focused conservative (Dayton is in his district) that has gone into the business of fealty to a traitor. Much like Elise Stefanek.

Sad but predictable.

Interesting that he said that it is available on your phone. In that case, why did Trump even take them when he can just dial it up on his phone?

Better add Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan to the dangerous Republicans list. Dems thought they were dangerous too.

Abraham Lincoln? The Southern Democrats were for slavery in that day. They would've called Abraham Lincoln too woke.

Both Lincoln & Reagan believed in American Democracy and accepting election results.

Donald Trump is the complete antithesis of Ronald Reagan.

Anybody who would compare the two is beyond ignorant.

I love this argument because it presents you with two choices about the person making it.

1. They love arguing in bad faith
2. They paid no attention in history class to the fallout from the Civil Rights Movement among the parties

He is the complete antithesis of all 45 of the other Presidents. The other 45 Presidents were on America's side.

Yet to be seen, but at this moment I would call Reagan the most damaging president long term in modern history.

Really? Even Nixon is part of the 45 & not most damaging in the modern era? & Bush part of that 45 too? Wow. Crazy. Progressives outraged at whatever is the current thing & hate history. I already see you guys have been lining up DeSantis to be the next American-hating Nazi. I guess some things never change.

I'll definitely agree Reagan is overrated by conservatives & a lot of what we see today has their roots in the Nixon era.

RE: Yet another dangerous GOP lawmaker
Nixon's corruption and even Bush's disasters in foreign policy didn't have the lasting fundamental change of Reaganomics and the disgusting wealth inequality it fueled. Reagan was nothing but a puppet for the filthy rich and that wealth inequality (something that tends to destroy societies eventually) continues to climb as we speak. And BTW, good ol' Bill Clinton sent much of Reagan's economic policy into overdrive and nobody R or D has really tried to fix this neoliberal sh!t sandwich despite the screeching on the right that the Dems are radical socialists.

Not defending any of the other presidents but it's Reagan that made the most lasting mark.

RE: Yet another dangerous GOP lawmaker
The Southern white Democrats who voted against the Civil Rights Act were subsequently voted out. Some tried flipping to run as Republicans; most were unsuccessful. The South tended to flip back & forth for a while at the presidential level. Both Carter & Clinton did very well done there, elections when it went it went Republican were nation-wide landslides. Nevertheless, it remained a Democrat stronghold at the state & below levels until relatively recently. We still see vestiges of that today in some of the South. Look up southern states governorships, legislative control, & federal reps on Wikipedia, it may surprise you. I know we live in MI, but let’s not be ignorant of southern history.

My point is that there was some massive realignment after the Civil Rights Act in the South b/c Republicans were more racist is propaganda bull****.
