@UTEP 2028
Vs UTEP 2031

The only G5 left is Rice without a home and home played or scheduled. I guess Sammy St now that they are moving up.

Nice. JMU also had a home and home reported yesterday, at Liberty in 2033 and Liberty at JMU in 2034 after cancelling the previously scheduled JMU at Liberty for 2026. Let's beat up on a couple CUSA teams 04-cheers

Texas State has had football for 118 years, and UTEP has had football for 108 years. It's amazing to me that they've never met.

I've always liked UTEP. I always wish them the best when not playing USM, but since I'm a SBC homer now, Go TxState!

Yep this was my first though too. Pretty wild.

Though for those unfamiliar with the great state of Texas, San Marcos and El Paso are close to 600 miles apart. Still though.

That's about Marshall and GaSo (570 mi.). But is that your closest opponent for the year?

Nah, Lafayette is only a quick 380 miles.
Hattiesburg is about the same distance as El Paso from San Marcos. Mobile is just a little farther

Gotcha. That is about the distance from Huntington to right between Boone and Conway.

Well these games are set for 2028 and 2031. But we have UTSA on the schedule both those years. San Marcos and San Antonio are just 50 miles apart.

And as others have noted we have a couple out-of-state conference rivals closer to us than El Paso (Louisiana and ULM).
