UAB is going to construct a 1,200 space, 6 or 7 story tall parking deck within the block directly east of Bartow Arena (bounded by 14th and 15th Streets & 6th and 7th Avenues S).

This will greatly improve the parking situation for home games at Bartow.

Basically they are putting a seven story, 1200 spot deck where the existing 600 spot parking area was. Cooper Green is building a new building in some of that space, and the giant parking deck will take up the rest.

I was hoping they'd build some parking spaces in all the construction they're doing around campus. I hope they do the same for RUST when it goes. so many buildings around campus are on the chopping block but they don't seem to be planning on replacing the parking that was for that building. Instead pushing people to the remote lots & make them use the bus routes

One of the city’s new BRT bus stops will be a block north of Bartow, which hopefully means quicker access to the area around Children’s and Railroad Park.

I'd think they'll just block entrances and just use parking for workers during the day. One year folks could park at Cooper Green during Blazer basketball games. Then they shut it off for some reason?

The Cooper Green deck is where the Blazerclub & Champions Club parking was located. When we had to vacate, we were spread out to other areas that used to be pay parking, eliminating those spots from the general public. I suspect the BC and CC will move back over there.
