Hey guys been following the realignment shenanigans pretty closely and I wanted to clarify something. There has been a lot of rumors going around that if the Big10 decides to expand West that they would add potentially up to 4 schools, for sure the 3 garunteed would be:

Stanford, Oregon and Washington.

However I have been hearing a bunch of rumors that the 4th school they would take if the expanded westward is a toss up between CAL and Utah. Both have solid academics but CAL is better in that regard, however when it comes to Athletics and support Utah is far ahead and above CAL. Basically who does the BIG10 add if they add 4 West Schools and who would you rather have out of Utah and CAL?

I'd say Cal #4 and Utah #5. Mainly due to potential long term marketing natural rivalry with Stanford.

Those next door rivalries can be fun to watch as sports fan. I'm not a fan of these schools per se but Alabama/Auburn, North Carolina/Duke next door battles I'll watch.

Stanford is obvious.

The next choices not nearly so.

But regardless, I think Arizona state is more likely than cal or utah.
