Frankly, this publication projecting Mississippi State to finish 12th in the SEC and #96 nationwide, appears a bit low. I am doubtful they will be a top 25 regular for the upcoming season, Two players from last season went pro early, 6 were lost to the portal, and 5 new players are coming in from the portal. A good coach was hired, so much is to be determined.

What happens in women’s basketball at MSU will be interesting. Not that long ago, they were a powerhouse. Hopefully, the coaching change will get them back in contention soon.
