Notice how this clip is getting an insane amount of views across Twitter and Instagram. We need to do more of these highlights to push out. Lots of comments from non UAB fans talking about how good UAB is looking

That’s the biggest thing we’ve had going for the basketball program recently. There is a ton of positive exposure that we haven’t had in over a decade going into the season. If Gaines turns out to be another explosive player, we will have highlights everywhere this season.

Gaines and Jelly are going to be incredibly difficult to guard. Jelly already runs them all over the floor but now with Gaines, he’s going to beat almost anyone on our schedule off the dribble. You help and Jelly is either wide open or someone else who can finish is there to kill you.

Since I've been a fan, UAB has not had a player that could complete the combination of making a move that crazy in between two defenders and also finish at the rim so violently and athletically.
Gaines and Jelly are going to be a major problem on the court.
The rest of the team is pretty damn solid too.
Can't freakin' wait for this season.

Helps on defense as well, with our guys having to guard them every day in practice.
