Boca, serious question---do either of these scenarios bother you (and if yes, to what degree):

1. The multitude of posters here with just a flat out unhealthy obsession with Toledo, no matter the sport or context, or

2. Someone like me who just doesn't care about Toledo (or cares about Toledo the same I do about Ball St, Bowling Green, Akron, etc).

Please help me understand why I sift through all the posts.....from a Toledo point of view.

Three of the first (currently four) four threads are by NIU posters. Is this an unhealthy obsession? Maybe you're missing something or just don't appreciate the Toledo #1 football recruiting class year after year?

Basically I go through a lot of Conferences/Teams-Boards/Posts for various reasons.
If I see something about Toledo I might comment on it. Something that is about another team's-staff/rosters/depth charts,etc -their fanbase knows more about it than me. Obviously I don't comment on that. I do care about the Conference and teams that are members because the Rockets are part of it. I hate to see diminishing fan bases., shrinking revenues. I'm particularly worried about what will happen to the 60 teams that will be left out after the Super Conferences are done with realignment. If a MAC team is playing in S FL I'll make the game. I love college FB. Can't wait for the season to get underway.

Add to it, in no particular order, ISU, UI, B10, Kirk Herbstreit. I will agree, I do own the Herbstreit shirt but my despise for him has subsided to mild dislike. Cocky Reece Davis and sarcastic Kevin Negandhi have easily surpassed him.

I left out a few others, as they seem to be leaving the arena like Voyager 2 leaving our solar system.

P5 is gaining obsession traction fast. But I kinda understand it for now as it is a topic worth addressing.

And I agree with #2.

I reserve the right to hate Toledo ISU And UIUC even if it’s unhealthy and shortening my lifespan. My body my choice!

It's probably an unhealthy obsession with the Nonrivals. I believe there's a 10-step process for overcoming it.

Maybe all of those Mac Football #1 recruiting titles do not mean much if you do not actually win the MAC West or MAC Football Championship!

Toledo is such a drag.

If the great beast in Ypsilanti ever wakes up, Toledo will be the program most negatively affected. Luckily for them the chances of that ever happening appear remote.
