Football 2022 OL
Our offensive line had some injuries last year. The most puzzling thing about our OL play is the way we struggle early in the season to establish the run and then it improve the final 4-5 games of the season. Because of the QB situation it will be imperative we can consistently pound the ball on the ground. The following is my projected starting 5 which is a veteran unit.
Sidy Sow Dr. 6'5 330 played 13 games last season. Consistent starter for many years.
Brian Dooley Gr.-6'7 300 also played 13 games last season and has been a consistent starter for many years.
Alex Howie Sr. 6'4 310 injured last year but played 9 games.
Marcellus Johnson Sr. 6'4 310 also played 13 games and has been a consistent starter.
Jake Donnellon-GR.-6'5 300 a key injury after the first game last year. Also a consistent starter during his EMU career.
The second 5 might include the following:
Mickey Rewolinski Jr. 6'5 300 played in 2 games last year.
Richard Bates Jr. Sr. 6'3 285 a key sub who played 11 games last year
Jimi McAdams IV Jr. 6'5 300 who played 13 games all on special teams
Carson Lee So. 6'3 335 a P5 transfer who gets a second chance at EMU
Dimitri Douglass Sr. 6'4 320 who played 9 games last year
Returnees include: Daniel Warnsman So. 6'4 310, Jez Janvier So. 6'5 310, Broderick Jordan Jr. 6'3 290 who was injured last year and Zack Conti Jr. 6'6 315 who played in 10 games last year. More returnee depth is provided by Daniel Greene Jr. 6'4 300 and John Golden Jr. So. 6'4 275.
New offensive line talent that I expect will redshirt this year are:
Mack Indestad Fr. 6'7 270, Joshua Anderson Fr. 6'5 325, Jeremiah Jackson Jr.-Fr. 6'4 290. Walk- ons include Tommy Dickinson Fr. 6'5 275, Nicholas Gallegos Fr. 6'4 270 and Dennis Story Jr. Fr. 6'7 295.
As always please feel free to comment if I missed anyone. Its not intentional.

This is a really good O-Line. with a lot of experience. Sow, Dooley and Howie are very good and we get Donnelon back. I am curious to see who fills in at the Center spot after Van Hoeven graduated.
I am very curious about two guys....Dmitri Douglas (former MSU) transfer and Carson Lee ((Colorado transfer). These guys are needed and I believe they will return for the '23-'24 season.
question...Is this Howies last season? It's so hard to tell with the extra Covid year. I know Dooley, Sow and Donnelon are gone after this season but I'm trying to get a Guage on who needs to get experience this year so that we aren't super inexperienced going into the next.

RE: Football 2022 OL
We have a quality offensive line who were rated 3 stars in high school. We’re basically dead last in running production. I theorize that our running scheme is lacking and the way it is executed to be responsible for a bad running game. Until we can consistently run the ball effectively, we will hover around 0.500

If football games are won in the trenches, we will be damn good in '23.
Just need to make sure the QB position is also solid...
