All-Tidewater & 1st team all-state as a junior. Averaged 21p/8r/3a. Gifted recruit that is skilled, physical, and plays through contact. She is one of the better scorers in the state and will finish her HS career with well over 2,000 points. Her high school coach with 51 years of coaching experience said she was the best player he's ever coached. Nice start for coach E and staff.

Prep Girls Hoops ranked her the #3 prospect in VA in the '23 class.

They should be able to recruit Tidewater effectively given Sugar Rodgers connections. I'd love to see girls hoops recruit VA heavily like London is doing for football. Grows the fan base and interest.

Ive said this before, but dont know if Id gotten a known answer. Why cant the AD and the college simply "charge themselves" the cost of all scholarships at the in-state price? Does the state truly subsidize in state students or is this just fuzzy math? Will the College truly lose money? Is this an IRS issue? I wonder how they do it at the P5 level. This kind of behavior is small potatoes compared to the rule-breaking that they usually employ.

The athletic departments get charged back by the college the same amount for tuition regardless of in state and out of state. They've been arguing this point with the college for years.

I’ve been told, very clearly, that at least one program was told to focus on in-state recruits, if offered a scholarship, because of cost. I also think that same program doesn’t offer/fill maximum scholarships.

For a second I thought she was turning 23 and was a little confused how the eligibility would work.

I can't remember the last player we had with Monet Dance's handles. She's short, but man she can play.
