I think the Jacksonville Jaguars might be available soon if we just stick together long enough. SUre they're just a market add but it gets us into Florida.

NO. We don't need two Jaguar teams in the Belt.05-nono

UTSA over Temple. I feel like ECU would keep the East super happy and Memphis is a dream for stAte, Tulane is nice for the LA teams, and UTSA is perfect for TXST. No more West being sad about lack of rivals.

I think you'd see an ACC-PAC merger before you see any present-day ACC teams joining a G5 league.

Tulane would be a drag on football and basketball.

They have lower attendance than ULM in basketball, and that's with Tulane getting teams like Houston, Cincy, UCF, Memphis, and Wichita State at home.

And Tulane's football will, more often than not, have a losing record. They don't match the vision the SBC has at all.

That said, the Sun Belt is more fun when Coach Ron Hunter is in it.

But if they were good with ACC money there wouldn't be a thread wondering if we could poach them. They're losing ACC money either way within a designated amount of time, whatever that is. Same with the non-performing AAC teams. They either move up or lose money and go to at least a good conference setup, like us or some future Frankenstein conference of the former leeches.

It's fair to say that SBC was really picky with the last round of expansion...no reason we should expect that to change for the eventual +2

Interesting that you want them in conference. I doubt they feel the same.

Current P5 Schools that may get left out of a Super Conference Split in the eastern US could include:
Boston College
Syracuse
Duke
Pittsburgh
Wake Forest
Georgia Tech
West Virginia
Cincinnati
UCF

If they wanted to those could band together and pull in Memphis, UConn and maybe a couple more to become a decent football conference. Even if the ACC dissolves I'd think there would be enough left overs to form a conference.

Assuming the B12 is part of the Big 3 Super Conferences, then WV, Cincy and UCF won't be available. Duke and probably Pitt and GT will somehow land in a Big 3 conference as well. The ACC will be the best of the rest on the east, and the PAC will be the best of the rest in the west. I could see BC, Syracuse, Louisville, WF join with USF, Temple, Memphis, ECU and a few others (pick from Buffalo? App? ODU? Charlotte?, UAB? Marshall? So Miss? FAU? GaSt?) to form the new ACC. Years and years from now.

When I read this and saw JMU not included in the bold above I knew it was an ODU poster w/o even looking

I think they played Pitt last year for the ACC Championship.

Maybe it's is UNC-CH that wants to join the SB.... I didn't realize that the week after visiting Boone that they go play Georgia State at Turner Field in Atlanta... Both games on ESPNU. The two back to back must hurt some bany blue egos...

You don't take private schools, so CUSA should get first crack so they can be with Liberty, another private school. This also means Duke would be off limit to you, as well as Vanderbilt, Syracuse, and Boston College.

Lol. Yep…..none of those schools fit our MO, geographically, private -vs- public, etc. We just had to add to that list the rotten ethics, nothing but a diploma mill, and some other things, as to why we didn’t want LU in the SBC. In fact, that’s why no other conf except CICU wanted u in their conference. Lucky for you they were in a death spiral and had no other choice but to make a deal with the devil.

Why the hell is the OP even a question?

Wake would be first up for whatever ACC/Magnolia league would be put together if the ACC fell apart.
