You really don't learn any lessons, do you?
He’s made numerous sexist remarks against women on this site, which have been pointed out on many occasions.
It's repulsive. Every time it seems the man is starting to behave, act like an adult and actually contribute posts that are thoughtful and helpful to the board's overall discourse ... he posts this garbage. I trust the mods take notice.
I have realized my contributions have been less snarky of late too. But I feed off the energy of the board. When someone comes here and says (picking a school) Iowa Tech is the best school ever and deserves Big Ten consideration, it's hard not to go nuts.
Honestly I don't know how I've acted childish here. Back to the point, saying the wrong name of your employer at the biggest address of the year is pretty much a fireable offense. In today's time, do you think a man would have kept this job?
If you feel compelled to respond. Respond to the points I've made not to some overarching agenda you may have please.
I have noticed that you have, indeed, been less snarky and dismissive with recent posts. And I've responded to some of your reasonable/quality posts as a way of subtly noting I appreciate your effort to tone it down. You have quality info to contribute and you clearly know your stuff regarding college sports. The board needs posters with varying views and writing styles.
Nobody (I would hope) on the board would not agree with you that women are not without flaws. And women in college sports administration deserve to called out when they fumble. But there is a way to criticize that does not involve labeling an entire group and being disdainful and disrespectful.
Though I don't agree a man would have been fired for noting the incorrect name of his employer (as you suggest), I do agree with you that there can be a double standard applied to men (in relation to women) in the work place. I experienced this personally with an incident involving a former female co-worker and it was unpleasant. I knew why the company was punishing me and realized my bosses privately believed my side of the story — but they had to "publicly" side with the young woman so as to keep company employee morale high. So, yes, I get it. But you've made, seemingly, at least three posts that bordered on outright sexist.
And your use, for example, of Boise State C.C. (for community college) ... come on. That's lame and tired. Seriously, it would be more distinctive if you used "Boise State Elementary School." If you feel Boise State U. offers less-than-quality academics, so be it. But there is a way to express that opinion that is not petty, disdainful and unoriginal.
My gut feeling is you look down your nose at Memphis (bad academics, wasting money on football, etc.). If I'm wrong, my apologies. If I'm correct and if you post critically of Memphis with respect and without snark, ... I'm cool with it. But my elderly parents attended the university and I don't come to this board to be hit with garbage posts about Memphis.
You strongly feel there are too many FBS programs and I respect your right to hold that view. But I politely ask that you express it (as I would hope all on the board would) without trashing schools and their fans. To be fair, you are not the only poster who has taken a harsh approach at times. And to be consistent, I admit I've posted some posts that were inappropriate. I'm far from perfect. Still, I try to stay clean and be constructive when I'm critical.
I never have given a negative rep point to a poster and likely never will. But some of your posts sure have tempted me.
