They really think JMU will beat Marshall?

Meh, that's just some vibrator throwing darts. I think there is a real chance of us going 5-3, but I don't believe JMU is one of the teams that will beat us. Anything is possible though.

**** it’s going to be so hard if not near impossible to get to a NY6 if you’re in the East…

High risk, high reward. You run through that gauntlet unscathed, with solid OOC, you are deserving. You'll be in the driving seat for a NY6 more years than not.

Reasonable prediction for ODU - although we’ll see what we have starting against VT in a few weeks. Truly hope we can steal a win to honor our new conference - and go 2-0 against VT in the 75.

Loving the surprise win over Marshall but I hope we can sneak in one more win to finish 6-6

RE: CFN: SBC predictions for every game
I said in another thread could see us beating all of our tough home games and then losing to Troy and JMU or ODU or both. GS is another road game that is a tossup. Not that farfetched. I could also see us losing to Louisiana, App, GSU, and Coastal at home and win all the road games. I don't know enough about us to be sure of anything.

Interesting how they have us losing to A-State and then beating UL 2 weeks later.

Yeah that isn't likely to happen. There are two ASUs in the Sun Belt and both prefer to be referenced by other abbreviations . . . APP and stAte or A-State.

I refer to Georgia State as GSU and Georgia Southern as GS and that doesn't seem to piss any of them off.

Sorry about that. I had “ASU” on my mind after the whole “CheifsFan doesn’t follow the Sun Belt” incident last week.

At the same time, I can't help but feel we are being underestimated.

The perils of having a saw mill for a schedule, I suppose. Can't wait to see how it shakes out.

Though I'd like to point out, it shows a prediction for "2-10" last year ... somebody might still be sleeping on the Monarchs over there 05-mafia

They have an App State conference game getting canceled due to COVID. Record at finish is expected to be 6-1.

At least App is in the standings. USM’s apparently going on probation and vacating all 6 wins.

Agree with you on a lot of the specific predictions, which is also a little inconsistent. In the JMU preview, they have us winning 6 games for the season, but here they show 5. Having said that, expect us to be amped up to give Marshall a heckuva fight. We may punch above our weight that game. I think that game is a toss up.

FWIW - they also have Coastal losing to Marshall and UVA, but sweeping everyone else.

If Coastal is that good this year, I don't see them losing to UVA.

He left out USM and Troy in his predicted finish in the West, and has Texas St and ASU ranked ahead of USA with worse conference records. Meh.

The Marshall game is gonna be a hair on fire game for the Dukes and probably the biggest homefield advantage we've ever had. Homecoming hosting Marshall in our first FBS season with potential for a very strong record coming in.

Oh, I have zero doubt we will get your best shot. It all is going to depend on (at least from our side) if Huff has learned from last year. We shall see.
