Cincinnati is +750 to the SEC?

Put all of your money on that one lol.

You know Bovada knows as much about realignment as the typical internet loon when Kansas and Cincinnati are listed 4th and 5th as most likely Big Ten school added next.

I took out a second mortgage on my house to bet on this. I split my bet two ways.

B1G adds Cincinnati
SEC adds Cincinnati

Should make *bank* on that payout.

Cincy has better odds of getting invited to either conference than UNC. That's wild.

Cincinnati by 2075 to the B1G/SEC maybe that might be more likely than 1 or 2 PAC/ACC schools.

Vegas odds aren't designed to predict the future, they're designed to MAKE MONEY for the house. Vegas wants the action to be balanced so there are more losers than winners.

Teams with huge fan bases have the "best odds" of anything, because the house pays less for the "best odds" teams winning.

Teams with smaller fan bases have longerodds, because there's less action on those teams.

(My college basketball team was one of the best to gamble on this past decade, because were were good AND a freaking tiny school; to balance the action in games against bigger fan bases, Vegas was giving us extra points left and right until last season).

Betting odds are simply punters guesses. It's a mixture of local bias and echoing press pundits. Take it for what it's worth.

The only one that is accurate is Notre Dame being up on the dock again, but probably a couple years down the road from making a decision.

The best value bets on the board there by FAR are Stanford and Cal at +2000 each. I'm not saying that the Big Ten will definitely add them, but when Vegas is giving you odds for them joining the league that match Oklahoma State (?!) and would pay out better than bets on Cincinnati, Kansas and Arizona, I'm VERY tempted there. Their odds in reality should be as good or better than Oregon and/or Washington.

Notre Dame is a sucker bet based on the name brand. Even if the Big Ten ends up adding them, it pays out nothing.

Is Bovada Vegas or Latvia?

The fact that schools have odds means that people are placing money. I’m surprised that folks are betting on Cincinnati and Oklahoma State…getting invitations in 2022 to the B1G or SEC just doesn’t seem like a good bet. Stanford and Cal get the same odds as Oklahoma State to receive a B1G invitation…betting on those schools make more financial sense.

Well, as someone else alluded to, they're trying to draw out bets from various fans and/or people that don't pay attention to conference realignment like we do daily (e.g. people that think Cincinnati will get an invite to the Big Ten *because* they're located in Ohio and that's totally close to Ohio State).
