Paid leave.

If I showed up wasted to work I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be placed on paid leave.

That dude was snockered. Maybe he thought he was in Margaritaville and forgot he still had to work. Florida can do that to a person. LOL

Obviously the guy has a problem. Using the "pig" term is over the line.

Day-um.

Near a 4.0? He’s lucky to still be breathing.

Wow.

But, hey. Least he was making an effort to do his shift… I mean, what could go wrong?!?

I don't like the use of "pig", given I respect the men and women who serve. Regardless, I hope he gets help and receives the proper penalties for his DUI.

With that said, alcoholism among police is probably higher than most professions. The intense and devastatingly tough stuff they see and deal with on a daily basis is mind boggling...another reason I respect those who serve so much. There will always be a few bad apples tho.

RE: On duty pig gets DUI
Alcohol is the most dangerous drug in America and yes, its a drug, and yes, its the most damning drug. You can compare it to any drug you want and the death and damage it does in this country and its easily 10x the amount of deaths and damage as all other drugs in this country.

Well I would say this man came from a broken home but then again he most likely learn his habit from straight lace mom and dad. Just because our government gives us the right to buy this drug does not make it any less of a drug. All that does is to keep the price down low enough that most people are not out committing other crimes to support their habit.

1.5 million people are arrested each year for DUI and I assume most of those are alcohol related. Then you probably have 5 to 10 times that amount that doesn't get caught but still driving under the influence.

drug
/drəɡ/

noun
a medicine or other substance which has a physiological effect when ingested or otherwise introduced into the body.

My personal opinion on government is to get the hell out of my life unless I'm affecting some other person. We have laws dealing with that. So until that happens butt out! But this country started a war and made felons out of addition and along the way forgot to add in the most dangerous drug to mankind....

54.9 percent (59.1 percent of men in this age group and 51.0 percent of women in this age group3) reported that they drank in the past month. Shouldn't "drank" really be ingested a drug

25.8 percent of people ages 18 and older (29.7 percent of men in this age group and 22.2 percent of women in this age group4) reported that they engaged in binge drinking in the past month

Bet most people in that group learned those habits from mom and pop or from a friend who saw mom and pop downing their nightly can or glass of....drugs
