It's a great idea. Having had many classes in that building (masters degree) I found it wanting. Heating in the winter was terrible cooling the summer the same. Parking was just as bad getting in and out and many cars were broken into. 07-coffee3

Great News for the Ypsilanti surrounding area:

https://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/202...utType=amp

Hopefully we are tailoring some of our engineering programs to feed the Ford machine!!!

This is great news for EMU to be in a community with so much potential!!

Gosh I hope so. Ypsilanti's local government, however, seems in a "race to the bottom" with respect to dysfunction based on their prior performance. While they have been incredibly incompetent, their lack of effectiveness does indeed pale to neighboring Ann Arbor where the "gang that can't shoot straight resides". Ypsi looks good in comparison.

Meanwhile in the county, Saline, Dexter, Chelsea, Pittsfield and Scio are laughing this stuff off while getting the job done! It is indeed embarrassing as I just paid my A2 property taxes.

Well Ypsi and Ypsi Twp. have moved up the food chain real estate and development wise. Ann Arbor was getting too expensive.

For those who are tired (frustrated?) with Tigers baseball, today is the last day of the last month without NFL or NCAA FB.

Some FBS and FCS teams start play August 27 (a mere 27 days away).

For those smarter than me, why would we have Florida State, Florida Atlantic, etc. hosting games in AUGUST while the MAC waits to September to start the season?

Makes NO sense to me.

And Maxx's Raiders play Thursday in Canton.

Great point Steve! The MAC should try to lay as early as possible for exposure and move up the cold November games.

I looked at the FBS and FCS schedules and there are a LOT of D-I team playing the last weekend of August. It isn't those teams playing a bonus game in Hawaii or some other EXCEPTION.

FABULOUS thinking Luckey! That said, we have the wonderful MACTION contract with ESPN and I don't know how we could work that out.

Your point is well take, but I would start a week early and leave Thanksgiving week empty and have it a bye week. The MACC would be the same day and the two teams get 2 week rest.

No one is on campus Thanksgiving weekend so its a big wash as far as students.

I have no problem with say EMU opening on the road that last Saturday in August and not playing T'giving week.

I'm a few hours late for July, but here is

https://twitter.com/JLEdwardsIII/status/...wtZRevnt2g

BTW, for those into economic data, S&P was up 9.1% and gas prices down 13% for July.

Economic news was good, what will EMU FB and MBB bring in August?
