AState/Little Rock agree to 4 year basketball series
Men will play in Jonesboro in 2022 and 2024 and Little Rock in 2023 and 2025.

Women will play in Little Rock in 2022 and 2024 and Jonesboro in 2023 and 2025

Despite how obvious it seems to everyone, this was never a sure thing. Much of the coaching staff on the men's side don't like the other guys.

If we don't do a similar series with Texas State , I will be upset. Our administration really knows how to mess things up so we will see

It's usually a win for Astate and it helps a little with attendance so I'm glad the rivalry is staying around.

I agree we should always play. Should be regular with UCA and UAPB. Maybe rotate every other year unless we have problems getting D1 games then every year. It would be better than Champions and Ark Tech.

Had no doubt that the rivalry wouldn’t continue (it’ll take a while to get used to not playing twice a year)

That’s a win for the State of Arkansas as well, since there is little other in-state rivalry encouragement

My early understanding is don’t hold your breath.

I don't see why it wouldn't happen, but then again we don't even play UTSA every year in basketball. We'll see

Little Rock's athletic department has had so much fun on the "us vs them" designation for the series, I felt it wouldn't make any sense for them not to sign long term.

We are by far their highest attended basketball game. And by the game moving OOC, the schools aren't locked into whatever the SBC says on game dates, so it can be played on a Saturday.

I didn’t think about that but very good point you make; It will be a helluva lot better to have those games back on Saturday’s than the weeknights it seemed to be scheduled on the last few years
