Real curious to see how Chicago State schedules as an independent. The below lineup is what D1 Docket has for them at this point

Tenn Tech and Coppin are good games. Impressed that we got those.

Chicago St beat Tennessee State by 10 last year and TSU beat TenTech two times once by 16 and again by 28. I'd say CSU has a 50/50 shot at being TenTech and Coppin St should be a win Coppin St is a dog.

Word is CSU has about a dozen guarantee games scheduled, plus home and homes. Presume there’s some non D1 games in the mix

I am really getting eager to see the schedule, especially with some of the new talent we have brought in.

Without a conference to fill CSU's schedule in the months of January and February, I wonder if their former WAC brethren will help fill out the Cougar's schedule during those months? Otherwise, the Cougar's schedule could be heavily front loaded in the months of November and December.

With UIW dropping out of the conference, everybody should have open dates.

Why? Schedule is not out and there’s 14 teams in the league. There will be no open dates. Especially with an even amount of teams. In fact, would have been more likely if UIW had come, that there would be “open dates” to fill with Chicago State.

Doubt it. Chicago State is a RPI/NET buster. If the WAC thinks/wants to be a “2 bid league” scheduling games against Chicago State out of charity, will not accomplish that goal.

Neither will not scheduling them. I would not be surprised to see a few. A trip to SUU and Dixie isn’t at all out the question. In addition, NET doesn’t matter much for transitioning schools. Although I doubt CBU is anxious for a second defeat lol.

And honestly, few remotely decent NET teams would deign to darken to the door of most WAC teams, so if they want/need a home game, a low NET team is their only real option.

Is this up to date?

I have kept the original post up to date; I think you have St. Thomas on there twice but yes - this is reflective of the opening post.

The Southern Indiana game is a decent get and front end of a home-and-home (presumably) with a program you'd like to get on the schedule regularly across all sports while you navigate the D1 Indy status.

I agree on St. Thomas.. May have a double posted there. I haven’t seen any additional releases yet.

I am actually fairly pleased with what we know about the schedule so far. There are a few games that we ought to have a shot at winning, and several that ought to have a pretty good payday.

Anyone have a feel for how many total games we may have this season?
