RE: Class of 23 recruiting
Callum Richard looks very active on the glass, in control of his body, and quick for a big man. Hopefully, he fits an uptempo style and can develop more game and weight.

Went to Dobyns Bennett vs Wm Blount game last night. In the first half he had 2 points and several turnovers. Second half he had 29 points; made 6 3s in a row and calmly sank 2 free throws with time running out to give DB the win. I’m not qualified to evaluate but he was the best player on the floor IMO. Not sure he’s a point guard but he can score when he gets going!

RE: Class of 23 recruiting
Has anyone seen the Abingdon 7-footer 235lb Evan Ramsey play? He averaged 25pts, 15 rebs, and 5 blocks a game. Those are pretty good numbers no matter what classification you're in. It looks as if Radford is the only school that's offered. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoCQ8MgiL4g

RE: Class of 23 recruiting
Have been following on twitter. We have offered (or contacted) several, including
Trevian Tennyson, transfer for Texas A&M Corpus Christi
Gerald Drumgoole, transfer from Albany
Carlos Curry, transfer from GA Southern
TJ Long, transfer from Fairfield
Michael Green III transfer from Robert Morris
I'm sure there are others, those that are reported by The Portal Report. I would link each one but I'm busy and need to get to some work!! Google 'em. They all look like they could fit in just fine here.

He looks good but my worry is if he is really good and is what we want then he will leave after his freshman year. Maybe Coach Savage can change things so players will want to stay.

In this climate, it's better to have talent for one year than no years.

Bingo. As much as I hate it, the new reality is that we will have massive roster turnover year to year. Gone are the days of watching young talent grow and develop over their careers. Everyone is on a 1 year contract. It’s not dissimilar to minor league baseball. Familiar uniforms but new faces every season. Guess we just have to try to savor the moments while we can.

That was my point back in the day when this Portal came into being. Perhaps the SoCon can become a minor league for, say, the SEC and ACC. Far fetched? With the way things are changing - why not? The big boys could even pony up money to pay the minor league to train up and coming players by giving them much more playing time than they would get otherwise. They could send players down to the minors and receive players up from the minors, utilizing the NIL system as needed.

Yes the situation of fluid and changing everyday it seems. For now I think the best way to proceed in general is to get the senior/grad transfers so we at least know we have them for that one year.
