Cam is a 4-star on Rivals as well. The Bearcats also now have more top 500 commits in this year's class (8) than we did in the rest of Luke Fickell's recruiting classes combined (7).

Nice add, 3 or 4, four star recruits wont add up to a top 20 class at the end of the process. But top 30 is very possible. Will have a much better idea in 6 to 8 weeks.

To be fair it’s not like they have 3 or 4 4*s and then mid 3* classes. Currently they have 9 commits in to the top 500 nationally, meaning they are all very high 3*’s or above, and 6 kids that are less than .01 from being 4 star recruits. Very easily a few could receive bumps and end up being 4*’s.

Not that I expect it will be a top 20 class, but just want to put into perspective that a lot of these players are already borderline 4*’s with
Some being 4* on some recruiting services but not all.

I think UC has about 10 of the top 25 Ohio rated recruits in this class. That is really good.

It's good news to see Fick's out there raking them in, but I don't put a lot of stock in recruiting rankings.

How many of our 9 guys drafted were highly recruited??? None that weren't a transfer.

I don't recall seeing any big flashing notices that Ahmad Gardner signed with UC...

Mathews picked up an Ohio State offer as well as LSU in last couple of weeks.

My feeling is he ends up at Ohio State now which isn't a huge deal with the amount of DBs we already have committed. Would love to be wrong though.

Here are the top 4 guys I hope we can end up with although I think we get 2 of 4:
1) 4* WR Malik Elzy (Illinois kid. Think it's between UC and Illinois. Notre Dame doesn't seem to be much of a player anymore.)
2) 4* DE Jalen Thompson (Michigan kid. Think it's between UC, Michigan St., Ohio State.)
3) 4* WR Anthony Brown (Ohio/Close to Cincy kid. Think its between UC and Kentucky)
4) 4* ATH/DB Jermaine Mathews (Cincy kid. Would say a Cincy lean but some late big time offers coming in. Would say it's between Cincinnati and Ohio State now.

Doing very well, which is great, Yet on a per player average ranking they do not rate at the top of the Big 12 teams.

Lots of work still to come by all.

In the top 70 schools in recruiting, 5 have 15 or more recruits. 4 of those 5 are in the top 4.
Minnesota which will not be top 50 at the end of the day is one of them.

ND has 15 and are Killing it right now has 15* and 13 4* sits at # 1.
#2, 3, and 4 are TT, Cincy, and NW who all have 20 in their class as of today.
Most below those have 6 to 10 commitments, and almost everyone is below 12.
The next 9 after NW have higher * rankings than TT, Cincy, and NW.
Then comes Minn who has 15 recruits and won't end up in top 50.
11 more teams currently in top 50 have higher rated recruits than the 3 but have much lower #s of recruits.
My guess is Cincy ends up 25 to 35 at the end of the day, which is a very good class that will be very competitive. But won't be anywhere near the top 10.

it just seems incredible, how insecure and butt hurt ucf fans act. anytime there's anything, which is positive for any other school, esp. uc, they always have to over run it, with how ucf is the bestest.

i respect ucf as program, but, geez, a lot of their fans have to grow out of it. its almost like they're cult members, or something

I am rooting for UC to have a good class. I want everyone in NB12 to have good classes. But Some on UC are talking of class in top 15 to 20, and that isn't likely to happen. Not for UC nor UCF. If UCF can finish in top30 to 40, we will be in great shape. Same goes for Cincy. Clemson today got up to 12 players and jumped over NWestern, and made big gain towards Cincy. I wish they wouldn't have, but reality is reality. Bama is sitting at #40, because they only have 4 right now. They likely will be top 5 when it is all said and done.

i don't disagree with you that uc's class ranking will fall, when all of the dust settles. i posted that in, maybe, post 3 or 4 of this thread. it's just chronic that ucf throws shade on any uc thread / achievement. its also kinda sad.

it is. i think the energy and drive from the new schools will help to push / reinvigorate the leftovers - i'm sure they've had a little bit of a funk, with OU and UT leaving. hopefully, the efforts of the new schools will get / keep them running.
