I think 5.5 wins is optimistic, but I hope I'm very wrong.

This years team is a mystery, we could be very good if the defense improves. If Will wins I think he's gone and if he has another loosing season his seat will be pretty hot. I think we're in for a good show, I for one am ready for a good season of college football.

One good season and Healy would be gone after having 1/3 winning seasons at Charlotte and 1/3 winning seasons at Austin Peay? Don’t get me wrong, I like Healy, but he really hasn’t proven anything yet. Both of his winning seasons were mediocre at best. Having one good 2022 season coupled with a rough coaching record overall doesn’t scream “bigger school wants Healy” in my eyes. I mean do we really see him being poached over several CUSA coaches with more success? Bill Clark, Tyson Helton, Jeff Traylor, shoot even Rick Stockstill, have all had more success and haven’t been poached. I get Charlotte is a “startup” in a sense and a difficult place to win at but I’d argue UAB was a harder job and Clark isn’t gone. I do hope that Charlotte is good this year and he’s able to pull it off.

We had Vanderbilt and Ole Miss sniffing around him in the season he lost a bowl game. I don't get it either but he has a rep as an up-and-comer and his agent runs a good PR machine. If he stays at Charlotte any longer at around .500 some of the shine on him might wear off. If he gets a better offer I expect him to take it.
