BYU Football Displays Big 12 Gift From Baylor Bears
BYU and Baylor will meet again this fall as non-conference foes before the two schools become league mates in 2023. The Cougars will host the defending Big 12 Champion Bears at LaVell Edwards Stadium on September 10 in the home opener for the 2022 season. It will serve as a chance for BYU to return the hospitality shown by Baylor last year to BYU.

I am delighted that BYU was treated well at Baylor. Let's hope that the hospitality is returned to Baylor this year by BYU.

Living in the heart of the "Bible Belt" (Nashville being one of the claimed homes of the Southern Baptist Convention); I find it pretty surprising Baylor and BYU actually haven't just named your new rivalry as " Holy War II" Feel free to seek a copyright. 03-lmfao Reckon TCU would be offended?

TCU wouldn't mind. Besides TCU-Baylor is the "Revivalry" game. Which is an objectively great name for a football game between two protestant (*historically for TCU) schools.

Personally, couldn't care less if Baylor/BYU launch their own "rivalry". Going by this article, they can have a pregame kumbaya every year and buy each other teddy bears and stuffed cougars as gifts. 03-cloud9

All joking aside - I'm happy BYU is joining and hope we pick up where we left off with a brewing rivalry back when we were both in the Mountain West. I'd actually like to see all the private schools have rivalries with each other. Makes the conference more fun plus rivalry games usually get better ratings and more fan engagement. 03-thumbsup
