UCF is expected to close deal for Stadium Naming Rights ($19.5 Million over 10 years)
If UCF BOT approves the deal at their meeting on Tuesday, UCF will receive $1.95 Million per year for 10 years with this latest naming rights deal for the Bounce House.

For comparison, here is how it would match up vs some other recent stadium naming rights deals:

Paid Sponsorship Per Year: (UPDATED)

SDSU (Qualcomm) Snap Dragon Stadium: $3 Million
Colorado State Canvas Stadium (Public Credit Union): $2.5 Million
UCF FBC Mortgage Stadium: $1.95 Million
Kentucky's Kroger Stadium: $1.85 Million
Cal FTX Stadium: $1.75 Million
UH TDECU Stadium: $1.5 Million
Iowa State's MidAmerican Energy Field (at Jack Trice Stadium: $1.5 Million
Rutgers SHI Stadium: $1.45 Million
Minnesota's Huntington Bank: $1.4 Million
Washington State Martin Stadium: $1.1 Million
Texas Tech AT&T Stadium: $807,000
Maryland Chevy Chase Bank Stadium: $800,000
Boise St Albertsons Stadium: $605,000

All good! Both CSU and SDSU naming rights were with brand new facilities, which also plays into their figures. Near $2mil for a year for a 15 year(iirc) stadium is pretty good.

If you want to update your list, as of 2018 Jack Trice is officially:

MidAmerican Energy Field at Jack Trice Stadium. 10 years 1.5 million.

Thank you!

Wow- "FBC Mortgage Stadium" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. It'll always be Bounce House to me.

Pretty much all stadiums have some form of naming rights, but I just cant get behind the corporate naming for x number years then change names.

I agree - while they do get the TV mentions for those years, venues for which sponsors change are usually never mentioned by those names by locals. There’s an outdoor amphitheater in Kansas City KS that’s gone by many different corporate names, but it’ll always be “Sandstone” to locals. Corporate merger be damned, the downtown arena will also always be the “Sprint Center” to KC area residents.

Official Stadium Sponsored names are almost always go by a nickname amongst fans...its just about the stadium/field logo for the sponsor.

Example:

The Gators Stadium is officially called Steve Spurrier-Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium but almost everyone calls it The Swamp.

Most fans will still call UCF's Stadium The Bounce House...but UCF will gladly accept the annual $1.95 Million payment to put up a local companies logo.

We called it the bounce house from day 1 when it started bouncing. That's why it was easy to name it that. Even when it had Bright House Networks or Spectrum on the side, it was always and will always be referred to by fans as the bounce house.

The exception being if we go old school like a lot of schools in the south and slap a name on it instead of a sponsor.

Bryant-Denny
Sanford
Dowdy-Ficklen
Jordan-Hare
Williams-Brice

But hey, even aTm put a logo on Kyle Field. And the Swamp will always be the Swamp. Mostly because Ben Hill Griffin doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Glad to see this deal finished. Been a long haul getting a deal done, since the spectrum withdraw.

Any word on a timeline for the expansion of the stadium? It sounds like UCF's AD wants to move quick on that.

Maybe this fall if all of the plans cam be approved, then a timeline for construction might be announced (I would guess the end of the 2023 Football Season would be a target start date for construction if all financing is approved).

My understanding was there were 2 other parts of UCF deal that needed done before Stadium. I expect your timeline to be a best case deal. Stadium expansion likely at least a year later.
