RE: A few thoughts about the tournament
Concerning TxSt, let’s hope the train isn’t on the tracks out in LF. They might knock the son of a ***** off the track. They can mash. I think Stivers gets tons of curveballs called strikes that aren’t. they cross at the neck and fall to the mitt. That’s a ball. If an ump calls it that way and makes him pitch his way through it, he is just average at best.
Riverwalk isn’t as windy most SBC fields. Seem most blow out (ASU graveyard an exception), but the ball crazy carries to LF at Riverwalk. It sails then carries. Plays more like 300 down the line. In fact, I think the SBC should request the fence be extended to prevent as many HRs during the tournament.
USA. Well, they like tournament time. Seems that get forgotten and then destroy dreams evey year.
GaSt could potentially destroy the LF fence as well.
GaSo can hit too. Will be good to see how they exploit LF.
LR power is the lefties. LR won’t do much if the righties don’t start mashing some themselves. Pitching is Arnold. Arnold gets **** tons of calls because who is gonna not call for a guy with his resume. They didn’t give it to him last years tournament and you saw what happened. Rest staff of guys that can pitch but unfortunately just one or two bad pitches game. Errors and poor defensive reads will be the contributing factor. More so than pitching.
Troy has that thing that’s called RF. Troy might surprise folks. Pitching healthy look out.
UL is tough to gather a full thought on. But, they can hit for power and pitching can match.
App just seems to sneak something in there. But it’s not always good that’s sneaks in. Pitching could be it for them.
ULM might take the elimination to the wire. They win it. They do not have much otherwise.

GaSt hitting its way there?
UL dirt bag baseball noses it’s way in?
Darkest of horses. LR’s pitches eliminates some of its bad pitches and goes deep into it.
Troy surprises some folks
My pick. GaSo wins it wall.
My homer LR makes champ game.
Surprise pick is Troy.
Out of nowhere pick is USA. Folks seem to have forgotten them.

Pretty sure the Biscuits built the park to encourage homers down the left field line.

I don’t need any reminders of TXST and their ability to rip the cover off the ball! I love BOP but I disagree with his take. Texas St. don’t have to show me a damn thing this week.

I would assume so, but I don’t think they are getting much extra revenue from anywhere other than the SBC. They would do whatever was asked within reason.

Uhh...They make revenue from the 70 games per year they play in that park, and since the Rays are paying salaries and housing for their players, their biggest expense is staffing.
