I think someone takes a play on Ivan in the draft no matter what. His play on the field was tremendous last year and like it or hate it, PFF is somewhat well respected amongst front office people and it'd be hard pressed for them to ignore the season he had.

How many consensus All-Americans don't get drafted?

Edit: Turns out it's 26 over the last 20 years (out of 233 Consensus All-Americans)

https://247sports.com/college/west-virgi...64989753_4

Of those 26, only 1 was from outside the P5. It was in 2000, UTEP's Brian Natkin, a 6'2" Tight End. He still played in the NFL, although only in 3 games.

How about arm length?
Once he does the 40 and cones & arm length, let us know your draft opinion (what round?). I love that guy!

Yeah, someone will take a 7th round flier on him if he tests average numbers...if he is in the 60th or above percentile in athleticism (and more specifically strength and burst numbers, so bench, 3 cone, broad jump), I could see him going as high as mid 5th round. His big issue is his best asset (pass rush ability from the mike) is negated by his arm length regardless of his tape, because competition level definitely is an issue for some people.

I was hoping His arm length was longer than you expected after being measured.

If he can play in space at the second level he may have a shot ala a London Fletcher type. He's going to get engulfed rushing against NFL OLs

Fletcher and Tulloch are the two guys he has to try to attach himself to...if he leans into trying to be a pass-rushing inside linebacker, he's going to struggle to get much interest based on his physical measurables and how much that'll hamstring him in evaluations. Truthfully, there aren't many middle of the field marauders/gap fillers anymore in the league...the most successful ILBs now are coverage first guys like Fred Warner and Matt Milano.

He is lucky he is coming out this year though, as he also has an example like Malcolm Rodriguez who kinda has the same sort of evaluation issues with a slightly less impressive resume and who showed out well this season for the Lions.

I think Pace will get drafted, but he's going to have to really figure out a role in order to stick around.

RE: Bearcats in the NFL-2022
This is interesting: Travis Kelce is going to be playing against his brother in the Super Bowl. His older brother, Jason, plays center for the Eagles. It’s the first time two brothers have ever competed in the Super Bowl against each other, which ... the thehas got to be tough for their parents. I mean, no matter who wins, they’ve gotta take them both to Disneyland, right?

Jimmy Kimmel

It’s already a history-making game because Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce will become the first brothers to face off against each other in a Super Bowl. But not the first time family members have played each other. Who can forget the dramatic playoffs matchup between Joe and Hannah Montana?

— Stephen Colbert

Maybe this is how Prince William and Prince Harry should sort out their issues.

Yep, he is a very similar case as far as draft concerns...5'11" 240lbs at DE is tiny, but he won the Nagurski Award and was a two-time All American. His arms are nearly 3 inches longer than Pace's and he put up 30 reps on the bench (Top 10% performer all time for a DE) which helped, but he still went in the 4th Round. All of my comments have nothing to do with if I think Pace will be successful in the NFL or not (I think he undoubtedly will find a place), it strictly pertains to his draft position.

Great article - read the full article for more great comments by Kelce.

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Travis Kelce couldn't contain his excitement.

The Kansas City Chiefs star tight end was asked about his alma mater and grinned from ear-to-ear.

"Go Bearcats! Anybody that has a problem with it, fight me," said Kelce, jokingly.

He had taken some social media grief after his Chiefs defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game and his colorful postgame interview ended playful trash talk with Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval.

On Super Bowl LVII Opening Night, he set the record straight.

"It's all about Cincinnati, baby," he said. "I've always been extremely prideful of coming from the University of Cincinnati. I finally got my diploma. I try to help out as much as I can. I go back to the university when I can. I just miss being around all those players that I played with, and all the people I met along the way there that have always been in my corner throughout the ups and downs of life."

"Shout out to the Bearcats. You guys are well-represented this Sunday."

Yep, thanks for that. The Kelce brothers are paying it forward with UC and national media seem to love the storyline this week.
