Meaning, they have a really hard time accepting who they are: a once-promising wannabe big school that is perpertually shunned and kicked around to conferences with other "small schools". Funny thing is it's the "small schools" that continue to grow and pass them by, while they remain stagnant and dwell on their successes of the 1970's.

It's going to be funny when "little schools" kick NMSU's ass in every sport after they move to CUSA. Football and baseball are god awful, and the fans think their one NCAA Tournament win in three decades makes up for it as if they're some blueblood basketball program. That'll make it even funnier when they can't win the bball tournament in CUSA. LOL! Nobody born after 1990 remembers more than one NMSU tournament win! Your athletics are pathetic.
