Yes Nostradamus we are aware the universe rotates around SHSU. Thanks for reminding us how the student commuters love SHSU so much they break their legs flying out of there cone Friday afternoon and never show up at any sporting event. Gotcha top notch for sure

Tarleton needs to get lost. They're too obscure and small time for FBS football. It sounds made up. Nobody IN Texas had heard of it before recently. They should know their place. And it's not the FBS. CUSA wants to IMPROVE as a conference, not further embarrass itself. Adding Tarleton would be a JOKE. The stigma of allowing a D2 school in would kill the conference. I think we all know how subpar their sports are. Smart for CUSA to reject them. Better at 9 members than 10 with that A&M feeder campus.

Lmao, Sammy you never disappoint. If I didn’t know better listening to you and your gross ignorance I’d swear C-USA was an elite FBS conference. News flash it’s the low man on the totem pole that is scratching and clawing to stay in existence. Like they can be picky or choosy.

Don’t they need someone to mow the prison grounds. Seems you’d be a perfect fit if you are not already incarcerated!
CUSA clearly CAN be picky and choosy, as they just rejected a certain overambitious former JUCO. CUSA would rather have an unstable group of nine than add Tarleton as the tenth member. That's what they think of your school. That's what they think of your athletics. Even CUSA has standards. And Tarleton doesn't make the cut. Embarrassing.

FYI BlewDragon, if you ever are looking for a real college football team to cheer for (not FCS or D2 or whatever lil ol Tarleton is in), you're welcome to cheer for the KATS.

Yes I want to cheer for the Katz as they take those FBS drubbings unless of course NO P5s are interested. Clownworthy

yeah, Florida International, New Mexico State, UTEP and Jacksonville State are really gonna give us a few "welcome to the FBS" beatdowns... LOL! We'll go to a bowl game within five years; Tarleton won't even have a playoff appearance by then!

Everything was going great during the campus visit and game that day. CUSA officials were enjoying themselves when during the game some idiot with beer breath and chewed up popcorn falling out of his mouth starts shouting in their face “I AM THE SOUL OF AN ILLITERATE FARMER! I AM THE SOUL OF AN ILLITERATE FARMER! TARLETON GREATER THAN SEATTLE! TARLETON GREATER THAN NMSU!” This man was escorted away from the CUSA reps who were visibly shaken and weirded out. They gathered their belonging and left soon after.

It was the popcorn detail that is still making me laugh. It’s gems like this that make wading thru a bunch of Tarleton drivel worth it. Who knows where the next hidden gem will be.

Bravo Cuban!

Your reading comprehension is sorely lacking. P5 was your clue. Of course SHSU can compete in that watered down league. It should also boost the attendance to football games to at least 6000. I mean seriously who wouldn't be excited to get to see that juggernaut Fla Intl on the grid iron. I am sure SHSU fans are salivating at just the thought of being able to compete in C-USA. I know Sammy is. Got that Texas A&M Commerce scheduled up for the next two years. Gotta play some transition schools also. SHSU an FBS school is going to travel to a transition FCS school. LMAO. You can't make this stuff up.

Says someone from a school that 99% of America couldn’t tell you what state they’re located in. Only people plugged in to college sports and realignment know where Tarleton is located. Ask some random Knicks fan where Tarleton is, and I bet they would have no idea. True anonymity.

Same can be said about any school in the WAC and those departing as well. What’s your point?

Don't bother. The point is the same as its always been - nmsu suffers from an overinflated sense of self. Meaning, they have a really hard time accepting who they are: a once-promising wannabe big school that is perpertually shunned and kicked around to conferences with other "small schools". Funny thing is it's the "small schools" that continue to grow and pass them by, while they remain stagnant and dwell on their successes of the 1970's.

Seriously dude, I have met quite a number of folks throughout the country that believe New Mexico is part of Old Mexico. I’m not telling you this as a slight it’s just the way it is. So, please, NMSU is as obscure as the rest of the WAC. Sorry if this damages your sense of self importance.

RE: McMurphy: Tarleton State Presents to CUSA
It's going to be funny when "little schools" kick NMSU's ass in every sport after they move to CUSA. Football and baseball are god awful, and the fans think their one NCAA Tournament win in three decades makes up for it as if they're some blueblood basketball program. That'll make it even funnier when they can't win the bball tournament in CUSA. LOL! Nobody born after 1990 remembers more than one NMSU tournament win! Your athletics are pathetic.

I'll cut you some slack though, Aggie fans. If I had to watch my subpar, little brother university get passed up by it's peers, slowly falling into irrelevance, I'd be on edge too. From competing with Boise State and Nevada to Chicago State and UMKC. Yeah, I'd be pissed too.

What dumb*** doesn't know what state NEW MEXICO State is in? Look, there's no getting around it. Tarleton sounds made up and the name was the main reason they were made fun of when CUSA rumors broke. It just sounds like a community college. Change the name.
