I understand it’s far more complex than simply changing the conference logo on the field and playing new opponents. The announcement came Summer 2021 and the move is looking like Summer 2024 - 3 years, which seems really long. Is this the longest gap between announcement and integration?

I seem to recall Penn State taking a while to integrate (into the Big Ten).

If the B12 new members need to be scheduled for 2O23, and OU & UT won’t exit for another year, that could be a scheduling oddity. Best the transition is no later than 2024. The SEC needs to plan for a firm date as well. They do have to encompass plans for ooc games, most probably already in the books for the short-term.
