I'm old now, prefer Hilton Head to Myrtle Beach to get as far away as possible from young morons like me when I was that age.

Dewey is not a beach town, it is a beach bar. There are more bars then residents

Don't forget the Shipbuilding in Newport News. We build Nuclear Subs and those little dingys known as Aircraft Carriers!!!!

And another tie-in. Newport News Shipbuilding was started by a man named Collis P Huntington. When Northrop Grumman spun off their shipbuilding yards the new company was named for the 2 people that started both shipyards. The parent company is Huntington-Ingalls Industries.

Plenty of WV coal trains come to Hampton Rhoads to be exported.

Here is something for the ODU/CC fans. Are there any named rivalries already in the SBC?

I didn't know the Collin Huntington connection to Newport. I should have caught that.

This makes me wonder if UNCW would've been added to the SBC if they had a football team.

Perhaps North Carolina can put something on the OBX for the 30 years it has before the sea either reclaims it or pushes it into the mainland

The amount of money we waste rebuilding Highway 12 on OBX every year is ridiculous. You don't even need a storm anymore to flood it, just a bad tide. In hindsight, building homes and communities on islands which constantly move and reshape was a bad idea.

These graphics are awesome! Also got me thinking about JMU/App State, not sure if I've ever seen much discussion for a name there. Pretty much would have to be about the Blue Ridge Mountains, right? Battle of the Blue Ridge? The Blue Ridge Rivalry? The Blue Ridge Mountain Brawl?

Guys and Gals, the ENTIRE East division are rivalry games.

Definitely:
Marshall vs. App (history)
Marshall vs. GaSo (history)
Marshall vs. ODU (conference mates for seven years and they think they are getting closer...we beg to differ 05-stirthepot)
Marshall vs. JMU (FCS history and they are hungry to prove themselves)
Marshall vs. Coastal (One of the top teams in the SBC and we want to come in and kick them in the teeth)
Marshall vs. GaSt. (Unsure, but I HATE STADIUMS WITH STANDS IN THE STANDS!!!!! 05-stirthepot)

Speaking of which...What happened to Panama?

Would make sense. Right in our backyard, only 50 miles up the road. We already play them regularly in basketball and baseball.

I like those. Something like "War in the Mountains* or something like that also sounds cool.
