That ESPN link doesn't tell the whole story of his career. The first two years were at Coastal Carolina where he appeared in most if not all their games.

Note here he is listed as Trevion instead of Tre which is why I assume the pages aren't joined.

The one game in 20-21 appears from when he was at Division 2 CSU-Pueblo and they played Colorado State. Ironically the game wasn't even an official game from his team's perspective (most of these non-D1 games are considered exhibitions for the lower division teams). He played in 10 official games for them.

From the bits of information I was able to glean from the ODU boards and a podcast with their coach I listened to his ineligibility stems from a
determination that was made by some athletic compliance person at Drexel. They filed an initial waiver request which was denied by the NCAA. At the beginning of the season, they had filed another waiver request (this was around the time we played them). I searched a bit a week or so ago and wasn't able to find anything. You would think by this point he is not getting it since he hasn't played. He got his undergraduate degree before he was at Drexel, so who knows what the issue might be. Maybe he wasn't getting enough grad credits or something.

I suppose it is possible he will just redshirt this year and play next year in his 7th year of school. The University of Montana QB this year was a 7th year guy.
