Assuming you are being sarcastic.
I agree that we should move on…but the Covid excuse is almost as sad as dwelling on the past.

Unlike what many thought, those St. Peter guys aren't going to Seton Hall. At least so far.
Bryant, Saint Bonaventure and Missouri State are the landing spots for their 3 primary perimeter guys.
Their 4 inside guys havent landed as yet. The twins, Rucker the Philly kid and the Senior KC... who is a stud and just entered are on the board.

It's arguable that the transfer portal is going to seriously diminish the emphasis on HS recruiting. Recruiting players out of HS is always a gamble, getting a player to transfer into your program who has a couple of years of college ball under their belt is much less of a risk from a coaches standpoint.
Seems like assembling teams on a season by season basis is going to be more important than building programs. Thoughts?

Transfers come with their own set of risks. Most places will continue to utilize both

Coach Stephens said he plans to build WMU program using primarily HS recruits. Will be most interested in a transfer to fill a specific need if he knew recruit when in HS.

RE: 2022 D1 Basketball Portal
Without thinking it through in a rigorous way, it seems to me this is really a zero sum game.
The total number of required players and the number of available qualified players to fill the slots remain roughly equivalent; there has to be a steady inflow of HS players to replace those who graduate or otherwise leave the sport.
The real story is just about redistribution of talent in both directions.
Some schools may try to become feeder programs. Think of the few schools that take the cream of HS and send them on the NBA. One notch down, a school might take high talent plays and give them A year of playing time and development playing time before passing them on to a higher level school.
Our pitch in the past is you come to WMU, complete on a D1 mid level basis, get a good education, graduate, and move forward with your life as a Bronco.
Somehow that feels outdated now.

This ^^^

Nice sentiment.
Seems (somewhat) naive though.
At this level, the reality is that coaches are building a house of cards.
