That is good news for Monty! Hope he keeps it up. And hope Spottes gets into the mix too.

Don't think I should get into that. But will say it's not as much as playing in Europe. But in PR they reside in a pad on the ocean.

Monty is playing very well. The line-up for Friday's first home game lists him as a starter.

I was just wondering, not trying to disparage anyone.

Minor league baseball players make peanuts, but when you are young and can scratch an existence from doing something you love, why not?

Your question was not disparaging at all. As you say, regardless of the money, there's nothing better than getting paid to play the game you love in warm weather and returning home from practices and games to hear the tides crashing on the ocean's shore.

RE: Puerta Rico Basketball
Monty Scott had another stellar game two-night's ago, as coming off the bench he scored 24-points. He's now third in the league among scores scorers who played two games with a 20.5 ppg scoring average and is overall has the best stats.

In the game, he shot 6-9 on 2's, 3-6 on 3's, and was 3-4 at the foul line. He's had a remarkable improvement from his first season.

In the second half he was switched from playing SF to PG, and he helped cut a 20-point deficit in half, but such was not enough to secure a victory.

Spottsville played limited minutes and did shoot the ball thru two-games.

Their Humacao team plays again tonight at 7 p.m. at home.

Monty Scott started tonight for Humacao. Scored 17-points. He was the team's PG and primary distributor. He had 9-assists, and committed but 1-turnover and had but 1-turnover. Excellent 9-1 assist to turnover ratio. Spottsville played limited minutes and didn't shoot. He played good defense as he took a charge.

Their team suffered their third straight defeat but help is on the way soon.

Good for Monty! I always noted he had good passing vision when he was at EMU.

So true. His vision plus his timing is impeccable. Believes he found his home playing PG. Hope HC keeps him there. Team scored all 13 more points with Scott playing the PG position then they previously did in their
two prior games.

Not prepared as yet to compare Scott to Tyreke Evans and Brandon Knight who both also play in the PR league and were drafted in the NBA lottery in the first round, but Scott does have better overall stats than both players, and his assists stats will rise if he continues to play the PG position. Already, he's averaging 19.5 ppg, and almost 5 assists per game.

You-tube streams Grises de Humacao's games.

John Stockman's son David Stockman will be joining the team soon. Also, a 6'10 player from the Greek League.
