Gerald Ford got that treatment for merely being clumsy.

Its not uncommon to see shows like that doing skits and making fun of 'your own'. Its totally different when its coming from state control TV of another country. That's disrespectful on every level and I dont recall seeing anything like this mocking a US President from what is basically a friendly country

Ford got screwed over.

I recall him saying later in his life how much it irked him to be called clumsy. He said something to the extent that "I know for a fact that I'm the most athletic President the US has had in my lifetime." And he's right - he was the starting center, starting linebacker, and long snapper on the 1932 & 33 Michigan teams that won back-to-back national titles. And played in several collegiate all-star games his senior year.

Ford also hit a hole in one at the St. Jude Classic at the Colonial Country Club Pro-Am.
