C-USA men's soccer dead / UAB to the AAC in 2022!
Marshall, ODU, Kentucky, and South Carolina are all headed to the Belt. UAB, FIU, FAU, and Charlotte are the only 4 remaining in C-USA for this fall. I think the MAC is in a similar situation.

Completely dead. There will either be a 1 year hybrid C-USA/MAC league for year or the UAB, FAU & Charlotte simply joins the AAC early for Men's Soccer only.

Definitely should join AAC one year early for Men's Soccer, makes sense and it's a need.

Some would say it’s been dead for years.

RE: C-USA men's soccer dead?
...I am not up on the situation too much, but did see over on the SBC board that they may be getting a soccer conference together... of course we will be in the AAC, but the CUSA remnants could join the Belt group, I guess... and perhaps they could get the MAC teams as well (or the AAC could get the MAC)...

I'm pretty sure Marshall won the soccer natty in 2019 or 2020...

EDIT: here ya go...

SBC soccer

My mistake. I meant to refer to UAB men’s soccer.

Ahh, in that case you are correct, sadly.

Glad to see we plan on at least competing this year.

All kidding aside, its make or break year for the coach. We have a beautiful facility and a proud history in this sport.

RE: C-USA men's soccer dead / UAB to the AAC in 2022!
Quote:IRVING, Texas – The UAB men's soccer program will compete in the American Athletic Conference as an affiliate member in Fall 2022, as announced by the league office on Wednesday morning. Men's soccer will be the first sport that UAB competes in as members of the American Athletic Conference.

With former C-USA men's soccer league members Marshall, Old Dominion, Coastal Carolina, South Carolina and Kentucky joining the Sun Belt for the Fall 2022 season, the Blazers will head to the American along with Charlotte, Florida Atlantic and FIU effective July 1.

Ten teams will comprise American Athletic Conference men's soccer. UAB, Charlotte, Florida Atlantic and FIU will join the league as affiliate members. The four incoming programs will join the current schools of Tulsa, UCF, Memphis, SMU, South Florida and Temple to comprise a 10-team league this fall...

Conference USA helped facilitate this movement when the number of conference members sponsoring men's soccer and women's swimming and diving decreased. C-USA worked collaboratively and proactively with the AAC with the primary goal of benefiting all student-athletes involved in order to maintain their high quality experiences.

I wonder if the SEC pair, UK and SC, were specifically told that they were NOT 05-nono to join the AAC for soccer 05-mafia .
