RE: 2022-23 Season
Senior day Sunday at Yum. On the BU website they mentioned Betz, Tipton, DeVault, Thelen and Drew Comer will be honored. No mention of Wieland and Pfriem so is that saying they will stay for their "Covid year"?

Sounds like it, but who knows? With medical redshirts and the 'Rona, it's a challenge to keep up with eligibility.

Thought I read somewhere (might've been here) that everyone but Betz could return next season, if desired. Unsure if that is accurate.

It is rather confusing. Betz is on his 6th year on campus, Tipton is in his 5th year on campus and I thought he would be in a similar situation as Betz last year...meaning he could play one more year??? Thelen, Pfiem and Wieland were Freshman together so they are all three in their fourth year on campus. Same with Comer I believe. DeVault was a transfer so his situation is different I believe. So does all this mean that Tipton could be elligible for antoher year like Betz was? Does this also say that Thelen, DeVault and Comer and even Tipton could come back again but decided not to??

RE: 2022-23 Season
After watching the Jax - BU game I looked up their gym's seating capacity......just under 2000. And the Asun won't allow us to play in Knights Hall? Something fishy.
Be nice to get a final shot at Liberty before they leave

Wow, I'd not heard that the conference won't let BU play at Knights Hall -- I figured the move to Freedom Hall was just to "look more D-I." I certainly do miss having a student section.

That Jax arena is very underwhelming. When we turned the ESPNU broadcast on the other day, even my kid noted that the place looked like a small high school gym.

Heck, yeah! You have to think Scotty will have 'em ready for the immediate back-to-back with UNF and, as best as possible, prepped to avoid the offensive rebounding and turnover woes.

No one loves the Knights more than yours truly, but, even if BU can snag a win on Monday, I sadly don't see this squad taking down LU on the road (would love to be wrong, though).

Rebounding, Benny, and Betz for the win!

Going to be tough to repeat last year and knock off LU (especially on their home court), but stranger things have happened.

RE: 2022-23 Season
I notice that the ASUN is repositioning teams after tonight's games. Seems kind of tough on the lower seed. By way of example, if Queens beats KSU tonight (considering they just beat them, not a big stretch) they will have to play the highest remaining seed Thursday, which is likely to be Liberty.

Honestly, other than Liberty, I don't think there is a ton of difference between the remaining teams. BU managed to beat Liberty last year, not sure Liberty is any better than last year, of course the Knights aren't as good as last year. Looking for the Knights to pull the upset, would also like to see Queens pull off one as well. Hey,theoretically, the Knights could host Queens in the ASUN final.

Dylan Penn and Vermont play for a NCCA berth Saturday at 11 on the Deuce, He is also nominated to the mid-major POY award. Wishing him luck.

Vermont wins and heads for the NCAA tournament. Dylan leads the team in scoring and minutes played. Congrats to him.

RE: 2022-23 Season
That is cool and good to see, but I (and I admittedly seem to be in the minority of BU fans) think Penn should have stuck with the Knights. If memory serves, he wasn't highly recruited in high school, yet BU had faith in him and really developed him, and the program really needed him this season; I imagine that the long streak of winning seasons would've been kept intact if BU had Penn. Guessing that the Catamounts will be "one and done" in the Big Dance anyway (although who doesn't love a Cinderella story?).

I agree that it would have been nice to see him back with the Knights, but he played 4 seasons for us, graduated from BU so he completely satisfied any obligation he made to Bellarmine. I say Go Vermont!

Oh, I get that, but am (not that it matters to anyone) still a little irked by the transfer. That said, hope Vermont can pull off an upset or two; even better, would be cool if an NBA team looks at Penn.

Per his Twitter account, it appears that Garrett Tipton is coming back for another year.

Nice. Looks like he can "get buckets." Wonder if he's still growing?

Still hoping to see some forwards and/or centers commit...

Would be very nice to have a LexCath and/or LCA pipeline. They have produced some nice players.

Definitely. In that vein, can we get Tyler to bring along his 7' teammate Reece Potter, who's apparently verbally committed to Miami (OH)?

Saw where Fairman committed to John A. Logan CC. Shame it didn't work out at BU -- he could've played quite a bit last season, I think, and helped out at PG.
