How easily could home conferences bring their members home?

Incorrect. These two schools are full voting members for football, similar to Navy in the AAC. They are not technically affiliates (who are on contract).

Hawaii is not an affiliate, they are a full equity member for football. See above about the Big Sky and Navy in the American.

Affiliates are under contract, which either party can terminate when up (usually 4 years then every 2 years rolling). They are not equity partners, have no vote in conference matter.

Didn't know that Columbus State dropped rifle. I'll remove them from my spreadsheet (thanks AZCats). Also noting the St. Francis Field Hockey move (Thanks HatterFan) -- wikipedia is out of date.

As for OVC Beach Volleyball, it looks like they will drop to just 3 teams next year which isn't enough to go on.

How are we classifying MVFC and CAAF football only conferences? If you consider these separate, since all members are full equity partners and voting members on Football, they really are not affiliates, the there are even fewer affiliates out there. By this view the CAA only has Fairfield and UMass in Men's Lacrosse and EMU in rowing.

Horizon might be another one. Maybe SWAC.

ACC was already found

There we go, that's 5.
I'm not seeing a 6th

The Sun Belt does not seem to presently have any affiliate members.

I think it’s likely the Sun Belt will re-start Men’s Soccer and bring the CUSA affiliate members — South Carolina, Kentucky, West Virginia — over to go along with Marshall, Old Dominion, JMU, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, and Georgia State.

In that case Big Sky has no affiliates because Binghamton has the same status

Hence the title being affiliate/associate/single sport membership.

Lindenwood starts Beach Volleyball in 2022-23 effectively replacing Austin Peay so the OVC will remain at 4 teams plus 1 affiliate.
