I remember similar arguments when UCF joined the former Big East (AAC), then came in and went undefeated in conference in year 1, lol.

Going to be more of a slog through the schedule. We can beat any team in the conference, but I don’t think we have the depth right now to get through without dropping some games. I think that’s pretty much what TCU and Utah saw upon moving up.
That AAC schedule had one top team (UL) and 1 or 2 good teams but that was it. And it still took some miracle plays to make it happen (Worton catch; Stanback kickoff return forced fumble, among them). Big 12 schedule doesn’t have any Tulanes or Temples on it, except Kansas. Everyone else has the talent to be at the top of the AAC.
And even now, sleeping on KU's new coach Lance Leipold who beat UT in his first year is done at your own risk. KU is not the KU it used to be, and people are about to find out. They have some real talent and Leipold is legit.
I hope so, a pathetic Kansas helps nobody.

This is a homer take (KU alum) but I really think that KU is positioned to do well in the new look Big 12. We are the biggest brand left and have a healthy donor base and I could see us potentially competing for the conference in the future. (I really really believe that Leipold is going to be our Barry Alvarez/Hayden Fry/Bill Snyder)

I think Leipold is a fantastic fit as well. There’s no reason we have to be a football doormat.
As for UCF and the new teams, all 4 have a good shot at success. They each have a lot to offer, and a higher conference profile can only help. I think it’s gonna be fun.

Agreed, Kansas basketball is easily the biggest brand in the B12, and there’s no reason your football can’t go back to competing for the conference. Just had to make the right hire for once and invest in athletics.

HUGE advantage for visiting Big 12 Fans to Orlando during the Fall Football Season as it times perfectly with EPCOT's Food & Wine Festival. (Tip: Select one of the EPCOT Hotels so you can stumble home or those hotels on the somewhat new Disney SkyLiner path)
PS. Just hope that ESPN/FOX doesn't select your game in Orlando for a Noon kickoff...as you will melt...even in early/mid Nov.
