RE: Holy Cross & Brown
After a rough start to the season it will be difficult to have a good RPI. Over the course of our last 5 games our RPI has dropped over 50 spots even though we went 5-0. We do still have an OOC vs Uconn which will be huge for RPI implications and a solid conference record should help.

The big reason for the drop in RPI is both Clemson and NC State losing 2 out of 3 in their series. Clemson lost the first 2 games at home to Miami. Both Clemson and State went on slight losing streaks after losing to us.

We need (and I expect) those two to eventually play well in ACC play and improve their RPI’s. 4-2 should be in the Quad 1 category, and right now it’s not.

Plus we didn’t do ourselves any favors losing to LIU, Monmouth and 2 games to Marshall…

RE: Holy Cross & Brown
The good news is, is that people seem to remember our sweep of NC State and giving Clemson their first loss. While we are just 23rd in the mid major poll, we are 34th in the College Baseball Nation poll which I think puts us in 7th among midmajors in that poll.

Agree that Clemson and nc state losing hurt us as well though. Need them to be Q1 opponents by end of year.
