Our stadium looks Chicago rec league.
1990 was 4 metal bleachers (5 rows you see in little league) and a small construction trailer for the scorekeepers and PA, yours truly.
So permanent press box and bleachers are the improvements of the last 30 years, no?
Yeah, no restrooms or concessions yet…….
They had no concessions or did they run out of everything?

It was just a guy selling cold McDoubles it of his coat for $10 a pop. He was also a Northwestern undergrad and kept harping about his love for The Grotto. We asked for hotdogs, but he said those were his personal stash.

I mentioned this years ago. They had a promotion "Taco Bell Run for The Border."
Everyone got a voucher for a free taco at the Taco Bell that was on Annie Glidden in the 5th inning if NIU got a hit I think it was. All 15 fans watching a team that won like 10 games and I think hit ONE hr on the season at home. (I don't think other teams hit many either, no more than 3 or 4)
But if they scored 3 runs I think it was, the fans got $5 gift voucher, which was 10 tacos in the day! One game, they actually scored 3 runs in that inning!
Now, here was the problem. The voucher explained the above rules. I think we circled which promotion won, was good for like 48 hrs. A couple kids came to the next game irate saying Taco Bell would not honor them. Guessing like a group went over with over with some of the maybe 2 dozen vouchers we handed out. But the workers, manager had no idea whether or not we got a hit, let alone scored 3 runs, or if it ws even real, which they now thought wasn't!!! I am sure one taco, they didn't question. $5 from 20 people though!
Promotion was then discontinued.
