I thought this was worth a post. Kent set an all time team record of 197.725 (Previous record 197.050). Even with that Ball St. finished first in the 7 team meet at 198.025.

Forget my previous post. Apparently most of the 7 teams set an all time record and the meet is being investigated for being over scored due to bad judging. It was the only meet I ever saw where you couldn’t follow the scoring real time. Something goofy was going on. Falls dog we should have bet the over.

Here is one Kent team that is improving. There qualifying score is now 24th in the country (out of about 60+ DI teams). There are 31 teams in the major Conferences (Big12,Big10, ACC and PAC 12). Twenty three of those teams are better and 8 come in below us. The year we got to the finals and finished 12th our qualifying score was 23rd so this is about as good as we have been. We have a home meet against BG Sunday and then the MAC championships at Ball St. (a close second to us in the MAC) left to try and move up.

Twenty third in the country. Eight to ten of the teams ahead of us have Olympians from various countries. That’s where our team that ended up 12th in the country finished +/- 1 or so.

Pretty close but we performed below average on our best event (floor).
Even so our national score still improved and we’ll stay out of the play in meet at the regional. We will probably be in Ann Arbor.

4th place at Regionals. Good to be back!

That was 4th out of 4 teams. Hoping for a little better. Worst meet since mid February. Eleven seed Michigan (second best team in our half of the regional)had a bad meet so we had a chance to advance to regional final Saturday. Need to replace Franz and add one more all around type gymnast and we can be pretty good again.
