The boys came out hot!!

We are lights out on offense and defense right now. Gotta keep the defensive pressure up on them though. They can hit a lot of threes in a hurry.

We are playing great. We probably arent going to keep shooting 87% from three and 58% from the field, and neither are they going to keep shooting 27% from the field, but damn its fun to watch while its happening. Typing this as a reminder to myself to not freak out when the game tightens up.

2 fouls on both Trey and Buffen with nearly 8 min left to play in the half.

Both of buffens fouls came on dumb reach ins away from the basket. Never seen a smart player otherwise commit so many dumb fouls

Overall great half, but in typical 2021-2022 UAB fashion we let off the gas, got sloppy, racked up dumb fouls, and let them back into the game. Our big men have hurt the team so far tonight, worse than a no-show. Overall, up 12 is great, but not happy we let them get back into the game and take momentum into the half

Our bigs have to learn to play better without fouling. It's so frustrating to see Buffen commit so many fouls away from the basket. Hes too valuable to be sitting nearly an entire half. We got pretty careless at the end of the half and let them back into it a bit when we should have stomped on their throat. Hopefully we come out hot in the second half and can at least play at a more relaxed pace going into tomorrow.
