MTSU has been without Josh Jefferson past three games. He scores a lot of points for them.

He has some sort of undisclosed injury.

Doesn't matter. We lost to one of the worst teams in D1 without their best player in Marshall. UAB will win or UAB will beat itself tomorrow, that's basically how this season has gone. There hasn't really been a game yet where I thought the other team was really better than us.

You're right there. None of the teams that have beaten us are better than us when we play our best. San Francisco is the only team that has beaten us that is a legit at large tournament team and we should have best them. UNT is the next best team and we easily could have beat them had we hit a couple of of free throws.

They did get too confident but I don't think they were looking ahead. It is difficult to maintain a high level of play when you're leading by double digits for most of the game. They got the win and live to play another day.

Jefferson led them in scoring against us a month ago. We still won by 20.[/align]

UAB turned the ball over 20 times tonight, but on the flip side had 43 rebounds!

Favored by 7, and won by 14.

I don’t think they got too confident. Fouls led to some bad lineups and we started making bad decisions with the ball, especially against the zone.

Jelly 7-20 shooting and 6 turnovers.

Buffen 5 points, 3 fouls, 3 turnovers (it had to be more than 3, felt like 15)

Jemison 2 points 4 fouls, 4 turnovers

Rongie 0 points 4 fouls

Awful. Worst double digit win I’ve ever seen. Survive and advance I guess, but that sure doesn’t leave a good taste in your mouth going into a tough game about 12 hours later…

We won. The only stat that worries me is 35 minutes for Ertel with two games in two days coming up.

That Justin Brown 3 was very timely.
