What a joke. We just lost in the freaking first round to the 10th seeded team in the conference tournament and something told them we deserved to be in a post season tourney. And hosting on top of it is the icing on the cake.

I honestly don't know what else anyone can do to boycott this program. The same 55 people will show up to this game, and Cliff will be praised for gracing us with another post season appearance. Meanwhile both Men's and Women's programs are dumpster fires and Coastal just keeps adding gas to them. I don't get it.

Though in our own minds, we're going to claim that we gracefully declined the invitation so Coastal Carolina can play in its 12th straight meaningless postseason game...

We'll trade you guys Cliff Ellis for Norchad Omier. Then you guys can too experience these coveted postseason appearances. Easy decision, and a steal for stAte. We're all about sharing the wealth!

In the meantime, we USM fans learned via Twitter Saturday that we were retaining men's coach Jay Ladner, who was 7-26 (1-17)- and two of the wins were against non-NCAA teams. Today we learned that he was given an extension sometime in the course of his contract, and he has a fully-guaranteed buyout of $650,000 and two seasons left. His record at USM is 24-65 (10-43) and his overall record at USM and SELA is 100-153. So here comes an easy out for your hoops teams next year, SBC.

I don't know about Omier, but you can take Balado if you want, you'll never have to worry about playing in the CIT again...(Of course, Maryland Eastern Shore is 11-15 so you never know...)
