Eager to see whether this team is Burger King All American or Wendy’s Wonders (wonder what coach is thinking)…
Two DII transfer ups, a major walkon, and 2 major transfer downs…
I guess it will come down to chemistry and the system!
One year right now but in the article he said he would look into a medical redshirt for last year.
This is going to be one average basketball team. My goodness!
I don’t really know where you’re getting that. First of all - yes - he got two major D1 players transferring in that didn’t play a whole lot at their previous institutions. Guys who do play a lot at that level don’t transfer here. That’s what Forbes typically landed: Lucas N’Guessan averaged 1.4 per game the year before we got him when he was at Oklahoma State. Glass averaged 2.1, Guyn 2.3. All contributed in a major way to success. Taylor and Haynes had similar numbers. Tray Boyd played at D2 his freshman year before transferring to juco. He was pretty important in the championship run in ‘20. Isaiah Tisdale was a juco all American, much like our newest player Hairston. I’m not saying he’s a Tisdale or a Boyd, but I don’t know why suddenly some think Oliver is doing a crappy job recruiting. This is the same type of players Forbes brought in. So on paper, the team looks like to me they could have a pretty damn good year. Last year he had half a year to recruit after a complete disaster. When Shay was let go over the kneeling mess, I was worried the program would ever recover. Based on who he has now, I think it could bounce back in a major way based on what I’ve seen and what’s on paper.
You are quoting multiple posters, but let me respond for my own words—quite literally waiting to see if this is a scrappy Forbes-like team (Burger King) or not (Wendy’s). We shall see.

I still remember when a lot of you thought we'd never get another prospect to come play ball in Johnson City.

Jury is still out on whether these are "prospects".

Not trying to be a jack ass but (assuming Yasser's injury is as serious as it looked) the Bucs return about 20 points per game of offense. I don't know enough about the recruits to determine if these are "prospects" or "projects".

How *******? We won't know till we see them, same with Forbes first couple years and we could trust his recruiting. If Oliver shows good results he will start getting that.

Yasser isn't coming back, if he does he won't have a scholarship
