Looks like a great hire. Experience combined with good energy. Looks like he is very familiar with NJ. Played at Notre Dame in the late 80's. Recently was a high school head coach at a NJ high school and an assistant at William Patterson (D3). Most importantly, he sports a majestic beard.

What exactly does a Defensive Quality Control coach do? Just asking. Why wouldn't the individual position coaches be responsible for their own quality control?

Perhaps a football guy can chime in. Per Wikipedia...

I'd guess the QC coach can't actively recruit, but I'm sure that his knowledge of NJ area football could be tapped into. That is a valuable resource.

In addition to advance game preparation, quality control coaches prepare the scout team to replicate opponents during practice. Alignment charts are used during practice to position scout team members correctly and players are coached on opponents primary techniques and tendencies. They also assist with position coaching during practice.

Noticed Quinton Lee and Mike Marquez no longer listed on our staff roster. They were involved very recently so their absence on the coaches roster may just be a matter of de-cluttering.
