We really need to win these next two games. Gotta take advantage of the MSU win. If can do that, we will be in the top 25 IMO. I think our Sat and Sun pitchers are better than our Friday starter so that gives some hope. We may find Tyler Stuart taking over for Ethridge before its all over.

Not impressed with Rodrigo Montenegro trying to spike our first baseman on the final play. Umps had to restrain Roccaforte. Fans saw it. They weren't happy.

The Monte brothers only have one speed. Wide arsed open. Not gonna fault him for trying to make a play.

As far as last year goes, im gonna be the one to say i dont think your guy ment to throw at McGillis. He was struggling with his mechanics. Very inconsistent on his release point. But in the heat of battle and at that exact time on the field i can see where our guys thought he did.
This is going to be a bigger rivalry than anyone we had in cusa, including rice.
Its gonna MEAN MORE.

For those that didn't watch, USM's Riggins pitched a complete game shutout. Southern Miss 5, Louisiana 0.

I was shocked he pitched the entire game. I hope we don’t pay for that in the long run

Have to say, I don't think missing the bag totally and spiking the first baseman is trying to make a play. I'd say the same if it was a Cajun as well.

That said, your pitcher today was outstanding. We had a number of very hard hit balls but they were all right at someone. Our pitching and fielding can't give up free bases, you're too good a team. Rubber game tomorrow.

Pitch count was around 92; very efficient performance.
