Yikes. Two big threes by UNCW and a costly turnover by Amari, and we're down 63-59 with UNCW at the line. We have not been good down the stretch.

Williams missing that FT hurt. I still would prefer UNCW over Towson especially because of distance.

69-63 loss. Yet another missed opportunity by this team. Disappointing how this season has turned out.

RE: Game #27 vs. UNCW
Between the threat of freezing rain tonight and just having a bad feeling about tonight and being lazy, I decided to sit this one out. I rarely ever miss home games, but I'm glad I missed this one. Lots of little things that cost them, especially the terrible FT shooting. I will give the dub credit for making some really big plays in the final minutes that Drexel didn't do.

Now with COC about to beat Delaware on the road, Saturday's game becomes a crucial battle for 5th place. It will likely be, win and play Delaware next week. Lose and play Hofstra.

The tournament is still wide open no matter who they play.

Wynter is 2 point from 8th all time. 38 from 1649 points passing Frantz!

Delaware got it close 94-95. COC plays hofstra after us.

he's still probably limited on that leg and i didn't think he should have played saturday...but this was another game where i was waiting for him to put the team on his shoulders. it never happened. he made some crazy shots. not enough of them though and definitely not when we really needed them.

tre brown only played 3 minutes. that's criminal. he played 15 and 18 minutes in the games last weekend and i thought we played a lot better. i'm not advocating for him to take over cam's spot. i am advocating for keeping players on the floor who earned minutes.

amari went for 20 and 19...but could've gone for 40 and 40. his only barrier was himself since they didn't have anything for him. take that back...the other barrier was us doing a poor job getting him the ball. we seemed to want to keep running bell at them. it didn't work down there and it didn't work well enough last night.

another case of spiker and staff needing to do a better job recognizing the right matchups and what we do well. i think of uncw as a perimeter team. when they needed big buckets late...they got themselves 2 wide open threes and drained them. they got what they wanted where cam couldn't rotate back over quick enough to challenge a corner 3. that's what good teams do.

RE: Game #27 vs. UNCW
Agree with hiroshima. Cam had a bad game and UNCW had no stop for Amari and we did not feed it to him enough. Bummed he didnt get to a 20/20 but he could have had an absurd night. We have lots of talent and potential match up problems all over. We need to feed the hot hand no matter the game. Sometimes thats Cam, sometimes Amari, sometimes itll be a Coltrane. We have to recognize what is in front of us and utilize it. In game decisions matter, and we have to do better. Difference in this one really came down to those final 2/2:30. We were absolutely dreadful and UNCW made some big shots. No reason this game was not a win.

As stated, now the CofC game means an awful lot. We have a real shot at falling to the 6th seed, which does not appear to be where we want to be. Based on our up and down season Saturday should be safe, but it truly will be a tournament level game with implications. It shouldnt have gotten to this point.

I still think the staff and Cam have bought into how good he is, so he tries too hard and presses too much. That has led to too many ISO Cam plays and turnovers. As a talented team from top to bottom, we should be embracing our balance, but havent.
