Women's Team
Although there are fewer teams, the Bucs women's team appear to be heading toward a higher tournament seed (6) than the men (9).

At this time, the men have only one more conference win (5) than do the women (4).

For what it’s worth, the men probably have a better chance than the women of winning at least one tournament game. If the women end up being seeded 6th, they’ll play 3rd seed. If the men stay in the bottom 4, they’ll play one of the other bottom 4. I know we all like getting a bye; but, right now I’d rather have one more win.

RE: Women's Team
Also fwiw...........with our current extreme lack of depth.......playing even 2 games on consecutive nights would be brutal, much less trying to go for more than that. Altho I don't think many here have any illusions of winning the tournament, playing 3 games in 3 days would give a better chance of that than trying to win 4 in 4 days. What point, really, is an extra win now that only gets us to where a bye would anyway?
I know, a win is a win........but I would bet every player and coach on that team has as their goal to win it all. And while those odds are terrifically long.......they're far from zero, too.

I think Coach Harris has done a heck of a job this year. He came into a really bad team and had to dismiss some of the better players. While playing a lot of freshmen he is getting them to buy into his system and they are slowly but surely improving their play. I think this will make for an interesting tournament and we have something to look forward to next year.

Yeah, I agree. Seems like Harris has the girls going in the right direction. Courtney Moore seems to have figured out she can be a weapon, with 26(?) against UNC-G last game. And looked good doing it:

Courtney Moore was feeling it

Playing the Furple-ettes right now in Brooks for the last regular-season game.

RE: Women's Team
Was tempted to put that last post in the 'original' "Women's Team" thread, but that might have irked some here. So for those who were confused when a new one was started recently.................here's the original - for a bit more perspective:

RE: Women's Team
Furman had one foul first half, ETSU 10. For the game Furman 4 total fouls. They were 17-19 for free throws, ETSU 2-2. Ridiculous disparity but normal SoCon refs.
