Marshall is a "leftover" as they were not part of Conference USA's mass exodus to the AAC. Marshall perceived a major upgrade going to C-USA but now C-USA has Kennesaw State. The times they are a changin' and Marshall could have had better rivalries with the MAC. UT and MU had a great intense rivalry in late 90's and early 2000's. They never again developed the fan interest they had while in the MAC.

I will always hate Marshall - but with good reasons why.

Basketball Rockets hold on 78-77 vs Wright State. Rockets had the ball with under :30 to go. Shot clock ticking down, Maddox air balls it with 9 seconds to go. The raiders fend off full court pressure and miss a jumper at the buzzer.
