It was the turning point. You get a stop, you have a chance to go up 9 or 10 with under 2 minutes to play and instead make a completely silly pass with no court or situational awareness. A half court lob, over the top, against 3 defenders, to a big man who probably won’t catch it anyway and who barely plays. Just unbelievable. The odds of that play being successful, even if you catch it, are not good. Hold the ball, set up a good play. Basic basketball. And hell yes, the best player on your team and maybe the best player in the conference should know better.
It was unquestionably the shifting point in the game. Of course others made bad plays and it all adds up to a team loss. But your best player has to know the situation and make better decisions.
But zero doubt the momentum shift was huge on that one play. If you go into halftime with the double digit lead you could have had, you probably win by double digits.

Yeah coach was just saying it was the turning point and the most important single play. That one play didn't cost us the game but it was a major turning point like DD said. Just one boneheaded mistake in a game full of them by us.
