Conference Departure Mad Libs
ODU and USM had a pretty identical press release today and it reminded me of Mad Libs. So I figured I wanted to play too. Feel free to divorce CUSA on your own as well!

(NAME OF SCHOOL) will terminate its membership in Conference USA effective June 30, 2022. The University will not participate in Conference USA during the 2022-23 season. This decision comes after considering the best interests of the University and the (MASCOT) family, including our (NUMBER OF ATHLETES) student-athletes and hundreds of thousands of alumni and fans.

The University first advised (NAME OF FORMER CONFERENCE) in early December 2021 of the University's plans to terminate its membership in June 2022. Since then, the University has clearly and consistently repeated its intentions to the Conference. (CLAUSE OF PREFERENCE ABOUT COOPERATION) to ensure that all remaining C-USA members had complete competitive schedules for those sports in which the University competes. The Conference refuses to discuss such an arrangement with the University. (OPTIONAL SENTENCE ABOUT CONFERENCE'S UNWILLINGNESS TO COOPERATE) The remaining members of Conference USA deserve certainty about their schedules as they plan for competition next year. For their sake, the University makes public its intent. The University appreciates its time and experience as a (NAME OF FORMER CONFERENCE) member.

1. South Alabama
2. Jaguar
3. 400
4. Conference USA
5. South Alabama has from the onset purposefully endeavored to cooperate fully with the Conference
6. N/A - declining this optional sentence
7. Conference USA

Its hilariously obvious that their lawyers are working together and sent that statement, because only a lawyer could say something like that.

Picture this, Gill, Benson, Attorneys, and ADs for SCB3 sitting in the downtown NOLA offices sipping cognac and puffing stogies right now. ESPN is on a Zoom conference and all are giggling saying "we don't need no steenking CU SA."
