Tribe is 4-7 in a 3 way tie for 7th currently losing the tiebreakers and in 9th place while Towson is 8-3 and 2nd place only 1 game behind UNCW who lost at Hofstra.

Towson beat us 91-69 at home by beating us in almost every statistic and had 5 players score over 10 points.

Wight and Hatten combined last time for 21pts going 10-16 from floor with 7REB and Carroll had 14pts shooting 5-10 and 6 REB. Nobody else for Tribe was in double digits. We had 14 assists with only 11 TO which for us is great but Towson had 16 assists and only 6 TO.

This lack of chatter about an early February conference game is beyond disconcerting.

The real foe of Tribe basketball is apathy. I lived through it during the Swenson/Boyages eras.

I hope to God it doesn’t rise up again.

Just an estimate based on my seats and past attendance, but it seems like we've lost about 40% of the season ticket holders for home games. Some events that happened over the last two years including Covid 19 have contributed to it. The team isn't good this year, so getting those fans back is going to be tough. Apathy for the fans that didn't bail out is a bad thing right now. The mask mandate doesn't help either. At least nobody is complaining about the shipping containers all over the parking lot any more.

The low attendance right now is 50/50 COVID/record. It's easy to forget because we're down from the recent Omicron peak, but right now is still worse than basically the entirety of 2021. I have no doubt that while some are returning to normal activity, a large portion of the populace is still avoiding large gatherings.

Davidson is having a great season, 20-3 and in first place n the A-10. Attendance is off quite a bit from the 2020 season. I missed a game due to a positive Covid test and a few others for work trips, but otherwise I attend. There are people who are ill or worried about being ill who are skipping games for every school in the country.

UNCC only allowed family members to attend the first 2 weeks of this spring semester. Crowds are now allowed, but they are small.

I use my season tickets at both schools, wear my mask (required) and show my vaccine card (required at Davidson). I just enjoy the games and look forward to next season and not having to jump through hoops to attend, although I don't think we will ever get rid of the silly metal detectors.

It is funny to have to go through a metal detector, show your vaccine card, show your electronic ticket and then show your photo ID to get a beer, I am 60 and have quite a few grey hairs. This is all silly, but I would rather go through the hoops than miss being in person for the games.

On Tuesday, San Francisco, who is in the West Coast Conference and could get an at-large bid, got a bad loss hosting Portland as an 18 point favorite. You want a copy of that.

Towson point guard Terry Nolan Jr. will return. He averages 10.1 points and 4.2 assists, which would be third in the CAA if he played enought games to qualify. His problem is that he shoots .346.

Not sure what Tyler was thinking there.

One note, Rainers is on the sideline. I wonder if he just had issues getting in and out of the country or if there was something family related back at home. Either way, good to see that he's back with the team.
